I never would have imagined that at 55 I would be so proud of not only what these Vets had done, but also the great losses they and their families have endured. I was just 16 when Viet Nam ended in the middle 70's. Not until some time later when those who fought and survived, along with those who supported them, started gathering to remember their fallen brothers and sisters, would the Healing begin that would guide these unsung heroes to proudly share their experiences. Those who endured this time of war share a bond that many would not understand, or even appreciate. If you are anyone who lived in the Viet Nam Era, then you are already part of a history that should be remembered for all those, Veterans and Patriots alike that endured a time in history that shaped the future of our American landscape.
